Su Ghetto Kosher Restaurant: Reviews & Ratings
One of the best meals I've had in my life. We started with the fried artichoke, which was the perfect appetizer. Then we topped it off with chicken wings, which were cooked to perfection, and accompanied with an amazing savory dip. Finally, we had the gnocchi with beef stew. (Excuse the photo -- I was too excited to eat it. ) I would have ordered more had I not been so full and so happy!
The atmosphere was lovely, there was music but it wasn’t obnoxious which is a nice change from the trains. The food came quickly and was fresh. I ordered the vegetarian tempura as well as chips (fries). The tempura wasn’t what i expected but it wasn’t bad and the chips were great. it was busy and it was an overall lovely experience. I would recommend.
Wonderful service, it arrived very quickly and our waitress was welcoming and lovely. The food was an interesting take on Roman food, excellent veal ragù! Really recommend! Charming atmosphere in a beautiful part of Rome. Great for a date night
Very nice lunch here today! Chicken schnitzel, meatballs, gnocchi and ravioli were all reported as excellent. Service was very good.
Came here many time. My first visit when I came in. I was watching my weight and I told my wife I’m not ordering pasta or pizza. I’m getting my steak. I ordered my Steak and of course wasn’t impressed. However, after that steak, I order their pasta with mix of fish. It was very delicious. From that point. I promised myself. Pasta, pizza I’m going to Italian restaurant. Steak definitely steakhouse. Long story short, I highly recommended this place. By the way they have 2 restaurants this one and baghetto. Both of them I tried awesome hospitality.
Outstanding. Lovely service. Enjoyable atmosphere. And the food was uniformly delicious. Steak tartare with crispy onions was delicious. Mixed appetizers of several kinds of artichoke, marinated zucchini, and beef carpaccio offered a variety of flavors and textures. The ravioli with cherry tomatoes and truffles was so bright and tasty. And the spaghetti carbonara was fantastic. Rich, chewy, salty, smoky. Full bodied wine to accompany. Hadn’t planned on dessert but they brought a taste of cherry crostata. Absolutely wonderful way to end the evening.

Nestled on Via del Portico d'Ottavia, this gem presents a menu full of vibrant and thoughtfully crafted dishes that celebrate both heritage and flavor.
The highlight of Su Ghetto’s offerings lies in its masterful inclusion of Jewish specialties such as the famed Carciofo Alla Giudia—a crispy, fried artichoke lauded for its perfectly balanced texture and deep earthy notes. Equally compelling are the Falafel and the creamy, rich hummus that serve as perfect starters, showcasing the richness of Mediterranean influences.

My personal experience was marked by the flawless balance between authenticity and innovation. Each dish arrived promptly, presented with rustic elegance, and crafted with evident care for kosher dietary laws without compromising on taste or originality. The Jewish Style Artichoke was a revelation, its golden crispiness leaving a lasting impression, while the rich gnocchi paired with beef stew offered a comforting embrace of flavors.
